RE: WHAT THE F*CK IS DTUBE FOR?

in #steem6 years ago

I believe there's room for both
Crypto as that's the core of this platform
And then the Creatives

I came in clueless about cryto and only focused on content... then I realised I needed to change my approach... even though I only wanted to focus on my content, and work on my creativity, I realised there was more to this game.
Then started the learning process
So the crypto talk helps me learn about the beast
But to feed my interests, I still look for the creatives and or the talking heads with topics that interest me
So there is place for both and the more people come on board there will be a variety of interests

Two of my favourites on YT are Casey Niestat and Gary Vee
Casey comes in with all his filming flare, and even his talking head videos come with a lot of embellishments, he will go the extra mile... the extra 20 miles to make that video visually amazing... and I love it and learnt a lot of things from watching him
Gary on the other hand is all about the message. He doesn't care for the angles or low light or shaky... most of his videos is just him talking, talking... and I love his messages...

So there is place for both. And an individual could enjoy both and more.
If this place is headed for mass adoption... I think we should be prepared for all sorts.

My 2 cents worth. Thank you for a question that made me think.

Hi @kaerpediem thanks for your feedback. I was checking your videos and most of them are based on responses to contests or challenges, so I see you are adjusting your content to the platform for maximizing your impact inside the community.

I am talking more about those creators who dont look at what the user base else is craving and decide to lead by example. Therefore, my question was more focused on knowing if there's a way on DTube for creative leaders to gain true followers who are genuinely interested on the creator's output in order to thrive on this platform.

I must have misunderstood the crypto non crypto question ....
For this question, I can say in the history of artists and creators, there are many who have toiled and laboured with their passion, going hungry, but they keep at it. Some will see the fruits of their labour in their lifetime. I don’t think it is exclusive to DTube
But what I have come to understand is this platform makes you creator, consumer and curator, at least at the moment. Maybe it will be different with mass adoption.
So engagement is driving it unless of course you are a whale or orca I suppose.

Anyways, I wish you all the best and I hope you get the answers that you are looking for.
