What a fantastic post , sir!
And yes, I agree with you.
'We' will be either seen as total idiots- or insightful geniuses, in the future...I am obviously hoping for the latter!
Having lived the life I have - until this last few years, steemit has provided me with a 'bigger' purpose also.
The truths I have always wanted to speak now have platform, rather than a few people listening to me rant on, while looking at each other strangely with a 'whats this idiot on about?' look on their faces..
(A conversation in '97....Me: The intenet is gonna be the biggest thing since the wheel
Them:'The Internet?, that's not gonna change anything much. Emails are good though....')
If this does become the success we hope, I will supporting all the steemit warriors long into the future.. , and ignoring the fair weather friends.
They are 'a dime a dozen...'
I got my first computer at 16 and asked my mother for an internet connection at home. She asked my oldest brother and he said it "is a fad" so, I didn't get a connection despite my protests about it being needed for the future. That was 95. My brother also said that digital cameras will never replace analogue because their quality won't be good enough and electric cars will never become mainstream. I should ask him his thoughts on cryptocurrencies... :D
A smug self satisfaction can be sooooooooo nice! lol
