I'm kept here by the future potential of this platform. The potential is mainly in the great versatility of the blockchain. It's being brought to life by dozens of developer teams all the time. New Steem apps are cropping up almost on a weekly basis. If such breakneck speed of development continues, some of those apps will go viral and cause the user numbers to explode. It's the development activity that we are witnessing right now that makes me believe this place may well have a very bright future.
All that combined with the knee-jerk FUD on Steem prevalent here and elsewhere has the fortunate effect of keeping stupid money out. That's great. At this stage, I want stupid money on the sidelines. I'm stacking up STEEM and I want no lemmings around trying to outbid me.
It only takes a couple of them to take off and things change again and can move rapidly. I find that people tend to focus on narrow views they without considering what they don't.
