Thought provoking post. I think newbies vote for the heavy hitters out of ignorance. They just don't realized their votes are being thrown away, and they may not know many other people. Plus there is probably some good fantasy thinking going on: "If only a Whale see's me I'll be on my way."
I mean I did this a few times then reality set it. Whales eat me, as do Orcas and most Dolphins. Blessings.
