I love everything about steem but it lacks a fundamental "category/tag subscription" feature that is available on Reddit & twitter. "My Feed" is a great start for following individuals, but steem needs to support a feed based on selected tags. We all want steem to replace those services but it will need to accommodate that feature to sway users of those services.
Also, the steemit.com domain resides on Amazon servers and can be shut down at any time. What are the plans to deal with this centralized aspect of steem?
I would like to run my own Steemit node here in Canada. That could help!
