RE: Why is the Steem Price Low? How Do We Fix It?

in #steem7 years ago (edited)

The ONLY people who hate flags are those who are upset for being found out or prevented from doing something 'wrong'... no, not true.

Censorship doesn't have to absolutely remove (and in fact seldom succeeds in removing all expressions of the 'obscenity'). It only needs to sew doubt, fear. It works by aggressive means and succeeds in altering a social environment by rule of fear of force in our case, being flagged). When it stunts the expression of a viepoint, it has succeeded by whatever degree.

The best result the aggressor can hope for is a situation where most people self-censor for fear of retaliation. @jerrybanfield has successfully shown a middle finger to all that and I can smell the fear from over hear in response to his middle finger.

If you're quoting me, please use my exact words instead of spinning. I didn't say those words in your quote.

If you think this place is fearful, open your eyes. Look around. Where's the fear? Look at all of these comments here, and everywhere else. Some agree, some don't agree. Some of the anti-social behavior was flagged, but the glaring majority of the words shared here were said freely without fear of consequence, and that's quite normal for this place.

Prameshtyagi is a prime example of a member who got caught stealing. He still acts as if that incident never occurred, yet this is an immutable blockchain, so even now, after his plagiarism was flagged away, the evidence remains, uncensored, which is a good thing, because if it truly was censored, people would lie about this place and how those things are handled and act like they didn't do anything wrong all while whiners cry about actual censorship instead of the nonexistent censorship those complaining about censorship here today are upset about.
