My understanding of Steemit and the value of steem as a currency is that it is a massive advertising platform, and advertisers will ultimately pay to advertise on the steem network. This is a great idea, but in the current implementation, Steemit is mainly a version of Twitter or Instagram.
We also need a version that is private, for private exchanges between friends, and private conversations. Like Facebook. Then, I think there will be higher movement of people onto this platform.
What do you think? Would a private Steem be useful?
