While it is quite a small company they do seem to have quite a nice setup though. I think on the long term this will be quite a nice thing for us.

Yes. Agree; they could become something and as someone who lives in Canada it is nice to see it get going. If we really thought it was that important however Steemit could have just paid the 30k to get listed as part of it.
I think it was pretty much a "Would be nice getting this, buuut, not really worth the 30k".
As blocktrades mentioned above, the community effort we saw and how everyone stuck together and got rewarded for it was the most important part.
