Greetings, Steemians.
Today we're going to do the last update of the year with all the details about our first advertising campaign for a store.
Lionbroda, was the first store adopted by us and you can take a look to the publication here. This week they published in their instagram that they are already accepting Steem and SBD as a method of payment. They also held a contest to celebrate the event, which you can find on their Facebook page.
The campaign was rejected by Facebook. They claimed that the campaign was promoting investments business and cryptocurrencies. Facebook does not allow this type of advertising without first subjecting the company to a thorough evaluation. We didn't understand the reason for Facebook's rejection because the advertising campaign was about prints for t-shirts and the image showed a unicorn with a girl's name.
After a carefully reviewing, we discovered that in the Lionbroda’s fan page description they had written that they are blockchain lovers and they like to help people to know about cryptocurrencies. We made an appeal to Facebook about the campaign and immediately the description was deleted, then the advertising campaign was approved by Facebook.
The advertising campaign lasted 24 hours and reached 7k people (many more than those offered to the store), they also had more than 200 reactions and several comments from people interested in their product.
Vandres, the owner was very happy with the result and he just need to make the publication in Steemit to get his other advertising campaign paid.
Puzzlezorios.
This week the Puzzlezorios brand published the Steem logo on their website, which is now next to Dash. The last crypto was the only one they accepted before. This brand of puzzles and women’s accessories will not enter the list of 100 shops nor will it get a paid advertising campaign because its owner is the co-founder of Rutablockchain @danielvehe. He is also in charge of running the Steem Merchants project, so it doesn't seem ethical for him to take economic benefits of the project for his personal brand but we wanted to announce it and include the brand in the final list.
You can see more of Puzzlezorios in their Instagram profile.
Challenges faced:
During this short period of time we faced many challenges. We realized that many of the stores that were included on lists of those that accept cryptos were no longer accepting them. This was made known to us by a food brand that decided to stop accepting payments in crypto currencies because it is difficult to maintain the value of the currency. Now we see the need to teach how to secure inventory replenishment by using cryptocurrencies to merchants.
The other and most common challenge we faced was that all businesses wanted to postpone the meeting to discuss the adoption for January of the coming year. We contacted 28 merchants by email of which only 6 responded. These merchants are very enthusiastic and receptive about the adoption but they want to schedule the meeting for the second week of January. This factor delays our project as we did not think that at this time of year it would be so difficult to carry out the project. Everyone goes on holidays and the shops that remain open have their owners travelling.
It is for this reason that we will not make any more updates about Steem Merchants until we have adopted a new store.
We hope to be able to get more stores to adopt next week and bring you more good news for Steem starting the new year.

Steem Merchants. Primera campaña pagada, Puzzlesorios y retos encontrados
