At the moment there are no ads on Steemit. At the moment, we are not the product. But this can change any time, as there is complete transparency here, and all the things we do on the blockchain are readable for everyone - which is by far worse than with FB, so say it frankly. Imo, it's just a matter of time (and user numbers) before the ugly tools are coming.
