Steemit is literally the showcase of all the downfalls of mankind.
Yes. An over the top comment, but its true at its core.
Every single flaw of humanity that ever existed in the past, from which we moved on from is exibited here to an alarming degree.
- You have a taste of feudalism with the stake based voting where high SP holders or owners of the largest percentage of the system (hold the most land)can profit from it greatly to the detriment of everyone and mold the ecosystem. We all depend on them for any modetary gain. "I own the most land, vassal, and i can do whatever i want".
- You have a taste of socialism where some believe in equal rewards for everyone across the board regardless of knowledge, capacity, talent . We are all the same and deserve the same recognition regardless of our individual qualities.
- Early greed capitalism. everything can fail and crumble, as long as im better off in the short term .. Delegation to bots and 0 care for who exactly is using your upvotes. Some even say wer closing 50% of all SP delegated to bots.
I can say without any regret that i wouldnt be here if some large accounts didnt apreciate my work. I would be gone in an instant but regardless of my "luckiness" i cannot unsee what we have going on.
If SMTs dont change something Steem is dead.
Not instantly, but it will fade away slowly into obscurity. As your stats show we moved from 11. Place to bellow the 20. Place.
There is a reason that a platform with so much potential, with the highest number of interactions and users, moved so far down.
It failed to achieve what it intended to.
People need to see those more that fight all those things i listed.
I made a promotion post about Curie and shot it to trending. We need to raise up those that bring value.
Rather insightful, @silentscreamer... I applaud the level of thought you have put into this comment, I suspect there is much truth that lies within.
I mean the comment is an over-exaggeration of course, but i really feel these things exist here, maybe not so openly and so strongly, but rather in between the lines.
