That is unfortunate that you had to experience that. And yes some do abuse the power.
However, the few are not destroying the platform. STEEM has grown by leaps and bounds since the first of the year. The development is amazing.
That said, have you started to amass the SMT tokens? Are you posting or upvoting content on @steemhunt? Did you download the app for ACTI? Are you reading posts and commenting for @air-clinic? Did you do the @appics bounty?
All these tokens are not affected by the SP of a whale on STEEM. Their placement is outside their reach. Those tokens are separate from STEEM.
