The other day found a blog post from @llfarms / @justineh, and made me think seriously about why I'm here writing content on the Steem Blockchain.

She raised a 'very' tough question:
What is YOUR Vision for Steem?
And noticed that it isn't easy at all to respond in a single sentence. (But still possible).
From the 2017 Roadmap, under the 'Goals' section:
''to provide the best platform for censorship-resistant publishing and store of value to the widest user base possible, in an effort to increase human freedom and accelerate the spread of access to basic rights for all people on Earth.''
This.
This caught me from the beginning and shocked me hardly.
I already knew that blockchain technology could change a lot of lives in the upcoming years, but never seen anything materialize like the Steem ecosystem in front of my eyes.
It was late 2017 and I joined the party. Bought a bunch of Steem at 1$ and saw it moon up to +5$.
My Steem Power instantly gave me a unexpected ability.
Easy as the power to 'share'.
My upvote was worth +0,5$ without noticing it before and started to think about the possible implications of this.
Maybe for us, the europeans, 0,5$ isn't a lot, but then I started thinking about countries (like Venezuela) with minimum monthly salaries in the 20-50$ range.
Moving my finger was worth like a full day of work for someone else.
This shocked me even more hardly.
Because it was more than just a vague promise.
Me, a 24y old guy was able to impact very positively other lives. Without a (strict) need of a human connection, or a intermediary (Somebody said ONG's?).
Just a machine was needed. The Steem Blockchain.
For me, the Vision of what Should be Steem is the leveraging of this act of 'sharing'.
Think about thousands of entrepreneurs, companies & users interacting in a decentralized ecosystem.
What internet did for the information is what blockchain will do for the value data and empowering individuals.
Taking away power & disrupting big centralized networks like Facebook or Google is the usecase for Steem.
Of course, there's still a long way to go. (Nobody said it was easy, uh?) We can't expect these companies to let their power & influence evaporate, we still need to educate a lot our society.
But I'm optimist, and I'm sure that this time will come sooner or later. I also hope to see Steem outcoming all the challenges of the road.

Tal i com comento al post, per mi va ser una de les coses que em van sobtar més al principi i que em van fer quedar-me per aquí. DPoS com a model de consens té una sèrie de problemes de base, però les seves virtuts (com aquesta que comentem) poden marcar una gran diferència.

Ho se ho se, per mi els que de moment millor ho estan fent, pel que fa a model de consens és l'equip de Cardano.
Fa mesos que m'ho diuen, que em miri Cardano... però està massa a dalt en mcap que sempre tendeixo a pensar que estic millor amb altres com Steem, per exemple.
Cardano no és PoS? Algun link on pugui informarme millor al respecte?
I que vols dir amb que està massa alt? Millor no? El millor lloc on informarte es la seva pagina oficial. En breus crec que faran videos explicatius menys tecnics de com funciona. Pero no ho se, ara fa algun mes que no el segueixo tant, me posat mes amb steemit, el veig amb mes potencial d'inversió.

El tema de que està massa alt és per preferència pròpia, em sento molt més cómode stakejant microcaps per un tema de possible ROI.
Per fer-te un x10 amb cardano necessites una capitalització de 17 bilions.
Si això passa és molt pressumible pensar que tot el mercat haurà anat moltíssim a l'alça, i amb les alts/microcaps adequades pots haver-te fet un x100.
Tot té els seus pros i contres, obviament :) cadascú es sent cómode amb coses diferents.
