I believe the servers are facing unprecendented load, we would need the admins to tell us more about the traffic on the website.
That may actually be a good thing if it is because of traffic as that would mean Steem is becoming more succesful and will persist on the long run.
Let me know about it in the comments, I would like to have more data.
