RE: Why Price Pumps Are Deadly To New Users

in #steem8 years ago

Just a curious question:

Isn't the Steem dollar a token designed to be more stable along with SBD? I expect value to grow and develop due to the nature that the mine is us, our content, what we invest into this platform - so ethically the intrinsic value is more tangible here than elsewhere, thus ultimately create more stability over time - but..... why are there a lot of fluctuations connected to other cryptos?

And.. I would like to buy some steem, never have. Never had any crypto in my life. How would you go to do that?

Steem Dollars are SBD and they have a floor that is $1 USD so it will never go too far below that.

Most likely due to people speculating on the future price trying to get rich quick.

If you are in the US you can use coinbase to buy Bitcoin Cash and use @blocktrades website to convert it to steem and send it to your account.

Thanks buddy. That clarifies what are SBD. I guess you can say Steem fluctuates more than SBD in that case? What is the relationship between Steem and SBD?

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I am talking to some friends of mine for some cryptos and found a site that works with my local accounts - I'm in Colombia so it's very different here.
