The Steemit Ann Is Too Neglected. I Gave It Some Love, Let's All Do The Same!

in #steem6 years ago (edited)

The bitcointalk forum is the no.1 crypto-related site, making it the perfect place if we want to attract new people and investors on Steemit.

Unfortunately, it appears the official ANN of Steemit is simply put.. abandoned. Too much FUD, too many unanswered questions and too few people posting there.

I think it would be great if those of us registered on bitcointalk gave some daily love and bring new life to the ANN. I visit bitcointalk daily so I will try to bump the ANN once a day to answer questions or post steem-related news. I made the start yesterday, by posting this optimistic message:

Edit: The images below are a bit blurry, just open them in a new window or zoom in with your browser!

I believe it's short and on the spot, showing that steemit, unlike its ANN, is alive and grows stronger by the day. Unfortunately, I got no responses. So, I bumped the thread again today, answering some somewhat valid FUD:

Unfortunately, too many believe that it's only possible to be successful on Steemit by abusing bots or by having the proper connections or by being an early investor. But as I have explained in my "I Asked 4Chan What They Think of Steemit, Here's What I Got!" post a few days back, I strongly believe Steemit is actually the best place to make money online by blogging!

So, TL;DR: Let's all give the steemit ANN some love, especially those of us who already visit bitcointalk. There is nothing to lose but much to gain!

What do you think of my idea? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments :)

P.S. I got this idea after reading @timcliff's "The STEEM "Shilling" Contest" post. Check it and see what you can come up with :D

Sort:

I am not a member there but I do think it would be great if those with 'some idea' would be more active across some of the forums available. It is a simple way to reduce the FUD and get some interest.

The steemit community is probably in a league of its own, the most difficult part is acclimatising and the come up.
For new guys like myself, getting audience has been somewhat difficult but I tarry because I know there's something bigger ahead.

Yes that's true but it's not like you can be a big star and make a shit ton of money on any other platform right away! Building an audience anywhere takes time, effort and of course some talent. But steemit is probably the only place where you can leave a quick comment and make some quick pennies :P

Lol beats jerking off to videos on pornhub, I give you that 😂

I'm focusing my efforts on getting a small number of really good writers I know onto steemit right now, rather than preaching to the masses. Convinced three so far, they should be starting up soon!

That's awesome. The more the merrier :D

I really do like your motivational approach :D
You are always this "started from the bottom" type of guy, who is trying to convince people of the value of the Steem chain and that hard work pays off in the end.
I always walk away with a smile after reading your posts :)

Thanks, I am glad you walk this way. It's usually what I am trying to achieve when I hit that post button :D

I ll come visit Friday : )
Did not know about this, thanks for posting!

come visit where ? :D

The Bitcoin Forum / Steem Section, where did you think? :P

lol, i thought mainland or something XD

The probability that mainland comes and visit seems greater than the other way round!

May I ask something? Sorry but I do not know these..
What is TL & DR?
Also what do you mean by Steemit ANN?
Sorry for my ignorance

tl;dr = too long didn't read https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=tl%3Bdr
ann = announcement

The ann thread, like the one I linked is usually where the main discussion of a particular coin in bitcointalk can be found

I am a bit new and I have used robots a bit to buy votes, but I think that is not the way, it should be thanks to the contents.

you posted this to the wrong thread

Please upvote my post dude because i always resteem you blog

that's not how you are gonna get people to check out your blog...

I get the information steemet gives many advantages, hopefully luck is there for everyone

stupid spam, full of typos is unfortunately a real problem on steemit :(

Use your flag. That is what it is there for. Do it, you know you want to.
