Good post, I don't understand all of the technicalities but there are clearly some issues around voting and platform design. I look forward to the evolution of the platform, but you're right, it's just a matter of time before a competitor emerges. Once the likes of FB and Goo realise their business model is threatened what is the betting they bring out a better version of a Steemit platform that allows rewards in their own crypto currency and all of the issues associated with data privacy. That would, however, be better than taking advantage of our data without any reward, but still not a great situation. Steemit has a unique opportunity to break the monopoly that corporates have on social platforms, but unfortunately greed might ultimately prevent it from doing so.
