They would get all the rewards by focusing their upvotes. they would do the opposite and form cartells

Ownership of STEEM tokens is highly concentrated in the hands of only a few dozen early miners.

I am sure, "Destiny" will come with its own SMT. Maybe that's the reason our leader is powering down like there is no tomorrow. Just because STEEM is dying... ohhh not because of a failed proof of concept, or bad luck, but by design.
