For being a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) I am affiliated with the Dutch Chapter of ISC2. This organization focusses completely on Cyber- and Information security. I am participating in the events committee and from that role I organize a 'Blockchain Event' it will be held on the 26th of September this year.
Although the purpose of the event is to talk about applicability of Blockchain technology in organizations I do intend to take Steemit / Steem as a good example of using Blockchain as a decentralised platform. That way i hope to give something more publicity to Steemit because it deserves to be broader knowleged.
With the organization of the event I have to arrange three speakers who'm all tell a bit about the subjects:
- Blockchain in general with a crypto part
- How can blockchain facilitate organizations and in what way
- How are things with Information Security and how (or can) you audit a blockchain (is it necesarry).
There is place for 100 persons, and if we look at earlier events we don't have any problems filling the room :)..
I would love to (if this event goes right) organize a event around Steemit in the Netherlands, there are a lot of Steemians in the Netherlands which I think can learn a lot of eachother. Now I know that there are some Steemfests etc. Does anybody knows if those are organized from whith the Steemit Community itself? and if yes are there any regulations, principles to follow?
I'm also busy with a whitepaper about security in general on Blockchain, but that's more likely a long term job ;)
