I joined steemit with a more naive mindset. Just do what you do, with quality and consistency. Trust and grow. Soon after I realize the gamecis rigged, but I still trust, I trust my feed will one day speak for me, that I must try my best so the ones genuinely stopping by become engaged. So far I have never used bidbots and hope I stay naive enough to be patient. There is a big difference between use and abuse but sadly people dont usually distinguish the difference.
About self voting it is something I never do, It is true that I do not have the pressure if my vote meaning much but encouragement though.
