I often wait for a new year's gift in the form of new socks or shaving foam. But for some reason my wife does not give me such gifts.
I do not remember that as a child under the Christmas tree I found a gift. I thought it was only in the movies.
Now my youngest daughter is 11 years old and she writes letters to Santa Claus and waits under the Christmas tree for a gift from him. And from me separately. My eldest daughter told me it was time to explain to my youngest daughter that there is no Santa Claus. But I think we should believe in Santa Claus and expect gifts from Him.
For me personally, there is no bad gift. The youngest daughter loves to give gifts that she makes with her own hands. I believe that these are the best gifts.

The best Christmas gift, for me, is the memory of Christmas when my kids were young and I would help Santa out. I visited the kids in their cribs dressed as Santa and gave them their first gifts of the day. I also appreciate more now why Santa stuck me with having to assemble some of their toys. It was frustrating at the time, but makes for great stories now, like the time the chimney on their play house roof ended up on the other side of the house from the fireplace.

The worst gift I ever received was a "shower kilt." It was basically a towel to wrap around your waist after showering. I could probably use it nowadays, but as a pre-teen...it sucked!

I have to agree that a towel is a worse gift than socks for a kid. Good for you to do the Santa dress-up. I think that would be so rewarding :)

I have a nearly two year-old granddaughter in the house...maybe this is the year to dust off the suit.

My best Christmas gift that I will remember, my parents had few financial resources and, since I was little, I wanted to go to DisneyWord and in 1997 my father gave me a pleasant surprise that I could not believe, tickets and stay in Orlando. From Florida from December 18 to 28, an unforgettable Christmas and the worst gift was in my workplace in an exchange of Christmas gifts, all the gifts were proportional and when they gave me my gift, I was filled with surprise and anger because It was a Chinese porcelain trinket for bathroom decoration and I gave him a very nice watch, if it had been something else I would not have felt so bad, there really are people who give anything to get off the step so ugly, I have always received nice details and also I like to give details according to people, that is my story, one very good and the other ugly hahaha..

We do not celebrate Christmas with gifts. It is not a custom. I cannot answer this question. I never really get lousy gifts. My children know me too well and if I do not like it I say it straight away. We ask each other if there are wishes and not just buy. Gifts with friends we no longer do.

The best gift I receive during Christmas is not a material thing but being able to spend Christmas with family and video chatting with my sister abroad. ❀️ As for the worst gift, I can't remember any.

The best gift is Christmas itself. You might say "Immanuel" and the gift to speak and write freely on this block chain.

As for the worst gift I must admit getting a Christmas sweater as a teenager in the 80s did not go well with me. But the giver is so precious to me I cannot mention her name here. Let's just say you never really understand how wonderful a person is until they are gone.

I once got a bed from my Grandma right around the time I moved out, so that was amazing!

From my Aunt on my dads side(who we dont talk to anymore), she kept getting me those random sets with deco and other "man" stuff in them, every birthday and every Christmas. I hate those gifts now!

My marriage was fixed on Christmas 2010 and it was the best gift that I have received by my parents and I got such a lovely lady in my life. Talking about worst I don't have any because even if things are not good then also I take it positively.
I don't believe in materialistic gifts rather than I prefer to get or give something related to feeling or happiness that stays always with the person.

My best gift has been my iPad Pro. My uncle gave it to me. I was pleasantly surprised. I am still using it to this day.

The worst present I ever got was a T-shirt and some shorts. I was 6 years old and it was given to me by father as Santa. I was devastated. My mother insisted on making Christmas the best thing ever for us kids as a result. She made these massive sacks out of pillow cases with our names on them, and she filled them with a whole heap of small and cheap toys so that the sacks were overflowing.

The worst christmas gifts I've ever received was a lego box with nothing inside but it wasnt my parents fault it was the shops fault.

Devastated.

My best gift was when I was 8 years old and I received my DS, I loved that gift for the amount of games, I was playing all night. The worst gift was "nothing" hahahahaha although it was already big and I stayed like a girl watching others open their presents and I :'D hahahahaha

The best gift I got for Christmas I remember as a little kid coming downstairs and seeing three sleds one for my sister one of my other sister and one for myself. That they was such fun sledding on the hill at back of my house. Consequently the worst gift I got was on Christmas... when a girl friend of mine broke up with me the morning after we open presents, I think it's because she might have not liked the gift I gave her? I don't know. That's a bad day. LOL

Thanks for hosting these, much appreciated!

My best Christmas gift for sure was when my wife told me she was pregnant with our first child! I almost passed out, with joy of course, but nervous just as well.

The worst gift? Hmm that one will be tough to think of, thankfully haven’t had many bad ones. I think maybe when my aunt bought me cologne that I was allergic to. We all looked at her confused and said you know he’s allergic to that right......? She was embarrassed to say the least!

the best one was a time spent with my family, and the worst one was Christmas without my family. Christmas is about family...

Best Gift: Cricket Bat when i was student by Father

Worst Gift: Colour Pencil Box as i Don't like to paint by Sister

My best gift was a little wooden box made by my boyfriend and inside came a beautiful butterfly chain. My worst gift was at school, they gave me a book in Russian and I really didn't understand anything. Although my previous relationship that gift was thanks and internal laughter.

My best gift:

A secret Santa gave me $1000, several gift cards, Christmas treats and toys when I was unemployed, broke, and had a 3 year old I was raising without child support or family to help. This came on Dec 1 that year and saved me. I was able to pay the rent with the money and get food with the gift cards. I got a wonderful job on Dec 12 that year, and life was very good. I never found out who the Secret Santa was.

My worst gift

This came when the employees that I managed got together and bought me some work clothes. This odd gift was made odder in that none of it suited me in color, style or fit and all looked horrible. I wore each of the outfits once to work and then never again. The horrified looks of the people who gave me these clothes was enough to let us all know we had a fail.
