I believe your service should be paid for by its own users or alternately, to the extent it is a for-profit freemium type model, investors in your company.
Milking rewards from the reward pool is unhelpful. If stakeholders wanted to pay for your server bills we would approve your SPS proposal. Clearly we, as a group, do not.
