In those days John the Baptist came, lecturing in the wild of Judea and saying, "Apologize, for the kingdom of paradise has drawing close." This is he who was discussed through the prophet Isaiah: "A voice of one bringing in the wild, 'Set up the route for the Lord, make straight ways for him.' John's garments were made of camel's hair, and he had a calfskin belt around his midsection. His nourishment was beetles and wild nectar. Right then and there paradise was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God plunging like a pigeon and landing on him.And a voice from paradise stated, "This is my Son, whom I cherish; with him I am very much satisfied."
