And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
Genesis 2:22
When God realized Adam was alone, He did not ask him to go find a helper for himself; rather, He made one and brought her to him. The lesson here is God knows we need help from other men and hence provides men to come and support us when and where necessary. However, like Adam in Genesis 2:23, it is for us to be receptive and appreciative of the people God send our way. We are not supposed to maltreat or dishonor them as though their helping us was a compulsion they were obligated to do.
This not withstanding however, our need for men also does not imply that we put our hope and dependence in them as though they were our primary sources of help. The Bible says in Jeremiah 17:5 that cursed is the man whose trust is in another man. All our trust is still supposed to be in God because He is the one who can and does make all provisions including men available to us.

See everyone who helps you in one way or the other as a gift from God to you and treat such with honor and respect.
