Everybody sees something, anything; but how we see it differs. Everyone can look at an image but what they see is different. What you see and how you see determines how you address a thing as it is noted in scripture in Mark, “…….. That we may see and believe and …..They reviled him”. Jesus was seen differently by people even on the cross. Though before the cross, he was never seen in such tough situation or problem where he seemed helpless- not until the cross (problem).
All that moment on the cross, some saw him as transgressors, helpless one and so on and he was also mocked at yet few saw him as Son of God. In the hopelessness of hope, He had hope and He kept his standard because of who He is and what He sees. The pain of the cross lasted for hours – every problem would last for a time and pass over you; so do not allow what people see or say about you influence your attitude. Even on the cross, keep the standard as Christ did.
Few persons saw Jesus laid to rest and few also saw him ascending to heaven. This means that more persons are concerned with your problem rather than your victory. On the cross for hours without water, food, assistance, with people murmuring and chattering, Jesus saw beyond what was seen of him. It takes courage, faith and trust in God to see positivity on the Cross.
What you see drives you to what you say. It pushes you to what you know and empowers you to keep going. Though it is written “there is a road that seems right to man but the end of it is death”. Psalms 121 says “I will lift up my eyes to the hills where my help comes; my help is from God….” This shows that seeing not involving God leads to ‘Sinking’.
Christians, true believers should learn that their relationship with God and living a Christian life is deeper than going to church. It has more to do with our personal spiritual force. It is there for necessary for us to ask ourselves, what do we see and how do we see things even on the cross? Its important to learn from scriptures.
