THE ARK OF GOD

2Samuel 6:9-12,
"And David was afraid of the LORD that day,and said,How shall the Ark of God come to me? So David would not remove the ark of the LORD unto him into the city of David: but David carried it aside into the house of Obededom the Gittite. And the ark of the LORD continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months; and the LORD blessed Obededom, and all his household. And it was told king David,saying,The Lord hath blessed the house of Obededom, and all that pertaineth unto him,because of the ark of God. So David went and brought up the ark of God from the house of Obededom into the city of David with gladness"

The Ark of God is described as the presence of God and when the presence of God is somewhere, things changes positively in the area. Every believer are to ensure the presence of God is in their midst when the gather together to pray. When the presence of God is felt in a place, it releases fullness of joy to everyone that is there. Matthew 18:20 says, " Where two or three are gathered in His name,He is there in their midst." so therefore when you invite the presence of God into your life and home,your situations turn around for good and you begin to experience God's unending blessing.

What most people don't know is that the presence of God can bring an end to all their challenges but their unbelief cannot make them receive the blessing. They doubt if God can give them joy but they forgot that it is God that gives joy that lasts forever only if you invite His presence in your life. It is a pity that even those that are called believers of Christ also doubt in their mind but it is of a truth that when you have faith,God's presence will manifest good things in you.

According to our Bible text,king David did not see any importance in hosting the ark of God in his house. Probably he thinks the ark is going to destroy him and his families,he chose to send to Obededom thinking the ark will destroy him but his thinking were totally negative. Obededom accepted the ark of God which is the presence of God with joy and within three months that he hosted it,his life turned around for good that even his talks went round the city till it gets to kind David.
The truth is that once the presence of God reaches you,it makes all impossibility to become possible as in the case of Obededom. Perhaps he was poor but his case changed as soon as he received the ark of God with gladness.

King David envied Obededom that he quickly went to collect the ark of God. He never see the importance, his own thought was that Obededom would have been killed but God made him known and famous instead of death. When people starts seeing you in a new dimension, they become envious of you,they tend to be like you,all because you allowed His presence in your life. God's concern is to make you prosper and enjoy His benefits,so if you can allow Him dwell in you,you will enjoy His benefits. Your life will be transformed and your situation will turn to joy.
