This is a powerful song written by Clint Brown that tells his story about how God delivered him from a plane crush. It still rings in my ears from the day I listened to it.
I really love everything that has to do with grace. There is nothing more than grace, we would have amounted to nothing if not for God's grace.
There is nothing that we have that wasn't given to us by God. While we were yet sinners, God expressed his love to us and gave a an unmerited favour(grace).
He raised us together with Christ and made us sit together in heavenly places. For by grace we are saved and have become an heir with Christ.
Even when we were dead in sins, has made us alive together with Christ, (by grace you are saved;) And has raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are you saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Ephesians 2:5-9
I love the last verse of this scripture. It tells us the grace of God is a free gift and we didn't merit it because of our works. None of us could have saved himself or herself from sin.
No amount of money could have been paid for the life we have now and no amount of animal sacrifice could have delievered us from our sins.
The grace of God has made us it possible for us to have life and an assurance of salvation.
We have nothing to boast of and act as if it is by might or our power that we are still alive.
We would have been like those who have perished for their sins if not for God's grace. Today, the arms of Jesus is still opened to all who are weary and are heavy laden to come for grace. Grace is still available to living and this is the hour of grace. Accept Jesus today.
