Hello Parishioners of steemchurch, am @cophi and was introduce to steemit by @collinz and @odsam2.
Today is my first post to steemchurch...I will like to talk about the Holy spirit and what He does for us.
THE HOLY SPIRIT
The Holy spirit is often referred to as the third person of the trinity.The expression "third person" however ,in no way implies that He is inferior to the father and the son ,that is Jesus Christ. Rather ,it denotes His function within the Hothead.
Within the trinity ,the father is the originator ,the son the Executor and the Holy spirit the Applicator.
In salvation ,for example, the father gave his son, the son came to pay the price for the sin and breaks the power of death,and the Holy spirit applies the salvation that has been provided.
Therefore, when we use that title ,"third person of the trinity ",for the Holy spirit, we must be careful not to give permission that He is any less important than God the Father and the son.The Holy spirit is also God.And He does much for us that is of tremendous importance.
As we journey through the Holy Spirit I would like us to know that the Holy spirit does a lot for us .
The Holy spirit ;
convicts us
He regenerates us
He baptizes us
He intercedes for us
He anoints us
He fills us
He witnesses to us
He seals us
He indwells us
He endows us with gift.
The Holy Spirit is vitally important to the believer .He does much for us- infact ,most of the time it's more than we realize.
There is more to learn from what the Holy Spirit does for us ...We will dig deep into each of the things the Holy spirit does for us.
