What does the word of God recommend so that man can reside with God in his sanctuary?

Psalm 15 details what God expects of man who resides with Him in his sanctuary:

1 Jehovah, who will dwell in your tabernacle? Who will dwell on your holy mountain? 2 He who walks in integrity and does justice, and speaks the truth in his heart. 3 He who does not slander with his tongue does not harm his neighbor or admit any reproach against his neighbor. 4 He is despised before the eyes of the vile, but he honors those who fear Jehovah. He who, even swearing in his harm, does not change; 5 Who did not give his money to usury, nor against the innocent bribe admitted. The person doing this will never slip. Psalm 15 Reina-Valera 1960 (RVR1960).

This psalm clearly records the requirements that a person must meet to ensure they enter and dwell with God in their tabernacle.

We must follow these requirements highlighted in this psalm and when the Lord comes in his glory, we will make sure we are with Him for eternity.

  1. He who lives without guilt and practices justice; 2) he who speaks the truth with all his heart; 3) he who speaks no evil of anyone; 4) he who does not harm his friend or offends his neighbor; 5) he who looks with contempt who he despises deserves, but honors those who honor the Lord; 6) the one who keeps his promises, even if it goes wrong; 7) he who lends his money without demanding interest; 8) he who does not accept the bribe against the innocent.

The man who lives like this will never fall, because Christ is his strong rock.
