Text: Job 36:11
In this life, for one to live a prosperous live, there is a condition attached to it.
Any man that wants to prosper in life must live to serve God.
What moves a man forward is the Obedience to serving God.
Imagine how it would be if all men(everyone) obey God.
Remember, God is not expensive to serve.
It doesn't cost you much to serve God.
Infact, serving God is for your own good.
So, if you're going to enjoy prosperity, you must live to serve and obey God.
According to the text that we read above, it means that if we do our part, God will surely be there for us.
God made us in his image, his likeness and allowed us to follow or unfollow his instruction whereby, he gave us the choice to choose between life and death.
There Are Many Types Of Obedience
- Willingly
- With pressure
God needs only the type that is done willingly, no pressure, not obligated. You choose to obey God out of his goodness.
In this life, obedience and service to God is a proof that you're ready to follow God.
There's nothing like half obedience and half obedience is disobedience. Isaiah 1:19
There's no big or small obedience.
If I may ask, who do you obey as God?
MB: to obey God is to obey his words (instructions).
If you obey God, there are rewards.
Example is in the book of Daniel 3:19 where Shedracch, Meshak and Abednego. Because of their obedience, they were saved by God in the midst of fire.
Everyday we face challenges and many surrender to these challenges.
Your brick house doesn't protect you. It's obedience to God's word.
Check the book of Daniel 3:30. As they stepped out of the fire, they were promoted.
Are you asking yourself when you'll be promoted in this life. Just be obedient to God and you shall eat the good of God's blessings.
In Daniel 3:29, the obedience of these three men brought not just promotion to them but evangelism of God's word in the land.
INGREDIENTS TO SERVICE TO ENJOY PROSPERITY
It's not only obedience to God like I mentioned above, service adds another ingredient to it.
Requirements For Good Service
- Sacrifice: We live to serve serve God.
If you must serve God, you must add sacrifice to your service. - Enthusiasm is another ingredient to obedience to God's word.
You should not be pushed to serve God
3.Integrity: Service should be mixed with integrity. There's no idle person in heaven. If you're not serving the Lord in any way, what are you living for?
When you loose integrity, you've lost it all.
Serve with the right mindset. - Commitment: Every great endeavor has a price tag. There is no lazy servant in the house of God. The question is "are you committed in duties in the house of God?"
If you're going to serve God for your prosperity, you must serve God with commitment. You're commitment will involve loyalty.
Brethren, the future of our heavenly journey is in our hands and as we pray for our prosperity in life may we remember the right procedures in getting it right, IJN. Amen.
