Some co-workers told me that the opposite of love was hate, but for me, the opposite of love is "indifference."
According to Wikipedia Indifference is a state of mind in which there is no inclination or disgust for something, be it a specific person, object, subject or issue.1
According to psychology, not only is it synonymous with coldness, but it can also indicate an attitude of survival, such as shield or armor, in order to protect yourself from being injured. In fact, after many studies, it has been concluded that indifference is used by beings with a strong and marked character of self-defense, since, as we said before, they use indifference as a barrier to the surrounding environment. . Likewise, the fear of pain that many people have is also what results in indifference, to avoid major disappointments and to avoid opening their heart.
The biblical text that I will quote today is in Matthew 22:
Parable of the wedding party
22 Jesus answered and spoke to them again in parables, saying:
2 The kingdom of heaven is similar to a king who celebrated his son's wedding party;
3 and sent his servants to call the guests to the wedding; but these did not want to come.
4 He sent again other servants, saying: Say to the guests: Behold, I have prepared my food; my bulls and fattened animals have been killed, and everything is ready; Come to the wedding.
5 But they, without paying attention, went away, one to his farm, and another to his business...
A common term is to hear someone say: I am in love with someone who does not love me, I am sure that many of us have felt someone's lack of love from our parents, a friend, a husband, a boss, etc. .
This message came to my mind when I was praying for the situation of an acquaintance, and in that prayer I saw that person very sad, so I asked why there is so much sadness in that heart?
I listened because there is indifference in love.
As human beings, one of the things that hurts us is the indifference of the beings we love, we spend time waiting for a call, a message something that makes us feel loved .... things that never came.
But where does the suffering of indifference come from?
If in your childhood someone was indifferent, when you are an adult the enemy will use that weakness to attack you, but he is doing it from your childhood, that is why we have to grow, let God heal those wounds, that pain that has caused indifference in our lives .
What can we do in the face of indifference?
I know some will tell me, Darlenys: you don't know what it is to love someone and that that person doesn't even stop to see that I exist?
I know very well, and that is why today I want to share these words that I found in the Bible regarding our attitude to pain.
He recounts this passage from Matthew 22, of a King who prepared a wedding party for his son, began to invite many people, I imagine it should be an important party, but after most of his guests said no, then he tells his servants to try to convince them to attend because everything was ready, the servants represent the methods we use to face rejection, they act as strategies to achieve acceptance.We are statistically women, if a husband It is not indifferent, so we take care of it more, because we believe that if we please it, we will retain it.
My question is this for everyone: are you taking care of someone? Do you spend all day thinking about that person? Do you pay close attention to that person who doesn't even remember that you exist?
Let me tell you that this strategy does not work.
The second strategy the king used was to send the servants to tell the people that they should go to the party that it was an order, an imposition, how many do we feel identified with this issue? we want to impose love .... we become controlling people ...
The third strategy was to send an army to destroy and end everything, I began to think that it is when we are filled with resentment and want to take revenge.
And as we see that we have not achieved anything then we use the fourth strategy as this King sent his servants to go through the crossroads of the city and call everyone who was not invited to the party, and this is where I will stop and I wish that everyone who reads this message will keep it in their hearts:
This was the best option this King had, he said,
8 Then he said to his servants, The marriages are indeed prepared; but those who were invited were not worthy.
There are people who are not deserving that you have invited them to your life, that they will not give anything for you, whatever you do, then let us reflect on what strategies we are using to receive a love alms, it is time to look for and invite other people worthy of your love, that wish to live it with you, that they give everything for you, their time, their life, everything ... do not lose their energy, their words in someone who does not receive it with pleasure, sow in fertile soil.
Not everyone who tells you that he loves you, and does not prove it with facts deserves you, decide today who will accompany you on the path of life, and who you are going to say is enough.
Leave the toxic and addictive relationships, those you need from someone to feel important.
Remember that our life is a party where our father who is God was the one who prepared it and left us the option to invite the people we want to be with us, do not invite indifferent people to your party, invite people worthy of a priest or a princess of the kingdom, and never forget that the first and most important guest is already there: Jesus Christ!
To end the inference, come to the call of the people when you want not when others want, it is our life and we have to value it. If someone withdraws from your life, and then appears, you tell him that I am glad that he is well, but don't be like some animals that throw themselves into people's arms the times they call it, Jesus himself said; My sheep recognize my voice and follow it.
Do not think that by pleasing a person you will constantly be able to retain him, you and I are worthy people justified by the blood of the lamb, and we have to make use of the name that the Lord gave us: chosen lineage, royal priesthood, the price of our happiness It was not anyone, it cost the life of the son of God, which in his eyes we were of great esteem.
Do not suffer, do not waste your pain, be happy, that happiness that Jesus has given us.
When I preach, I also do it for myself, and I invite you to make the best decision of your life, don't let anyone harm your party, let nothing stop you, live is Christ and death is gain.

Hmm, I'm not sure about this, because God's opponent is full of hate🤔 otherwise I'm also sure the true enemy (Ephesians 6:12) loves indifference by humans which make they to close their hearts (for Jesus too).
It could be right, maybe hate is just a step in the direction of indifference, when people long enough decide to go this way, anyway both are feelings which we've to overcome with the Lords help, because that's the only way to overcome this sinfiúl/fallen world as opposed to become a part of this (1. John 2:15 and 1. John 5:4).

I believe that indifference is a very negative act for those who practice it and to whom it is directed and if it is a very painful act, however we must overcome all these types of toxic situations and embrace Jesus Christ our faithful friend who does not disappoint.

Interesting reflection @darlenys01, there are things that hurt a lot like indifference but God will always be our support to decide to value and restore us.
Although this word seems hard Darlenys is the truth of God for our lives, we have to love, dignify and be fair to ourselves.
