Holy Spirit: "another comforter"

in #steemchurch6 years ago

In the chapters of John 14 to 16, we find Jesus, shortly before his arrest by the Jews, giving last-minute instructions and comfort to his disciples. He was not going to be with them anymore. They, in effect, would see him again after his resurrection, but only temporarily, until the ascension to his Father. The fact that Jesus went to the Father would mean that they would be left alone ... except if He sent a replacement, another would replace him. Except that He would come to them in "another form," so to speak. And as we will see, this is exactly what happened! Jesus, although he is no longer physically present, is present much more than before! How? Through the Comforter, the Holy Spirit; This comforter really replaces Jesus, doing what He would do if He were physically present with each of His disciples. And speaking of his disciples, I did not get cold on those who were with him in the Genesis, I also refer to each of us who accept him and are his children.

"If you love me, keep my commandments. And I will pray to the Father and he will give you another Comforter, so that he may be with you forever, the Spirit of truth, whom the world can not receive, because he neither sees nor knows him; but you know him, because he lives with you and will be in you. "
John 14: 15-18

Here, Jesus Christ speaks about the Holy Spirit and describes him as another comforter. Even though Jesus was leaving, He really did not leave them alone. He would send another Dildo, that is, someone who would replace him, someone who would do everything He did when he was with them, we could talk about a replacement for his physical absence. Although He would no longer be physically present with them, He would be present spiritually, through the Comforter. That is, having the Holy Spirit is absolutely like having Jesus. And the Holy Spirit does for those who follow Jesus, what he did for his disciples when he was physically present, that is, he teaches them, he guides them, he rebukes them, he comforts them. That's why it's called ANOTHER dildo.

Therefore, dear brother and sister in Christ: we are not abandoned. Jesus is not somewhere far from us. He is very close to us. Jesus, through the Comforter, is in us! As he tells us in Colossians 1: 26-27:

Already to culminate Christ is in you, dear brother and sister. The Comforter is in you! And why is the dildo there? To do all that Christ would do if he were physically present to guide, comfort and assist him in the daily walk of our life.

Says: But I tell you the truth: It is better for you that I go away, because if I do not go, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I leave, I will send it to you.John 16: 7

God bless you, powerfully beloved brothers, I hope that this reflection will be a blessing for your lives.

In other words, having the Holy Spirit is like having Jesus. The first consoler was Jesus in his physical presence. Only a few days after the ascension of Jesus, the Holy Spirit, the second comforter, "another comforter", the substitute of Jesus, the first comforter, came.

When Jesus was here on earth, He was a limitless Source of strength, inspiration, and instruction to those who were with Him and those who would accept Him. He was in every sense of the word a true Helper. But He dwelt with them only a short while, after which He stated, "I go to My Father." He added, however, "And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Comforter [or "Helper"], that He may abide with you forever"
