The character of Abraham was well known to God. Thus Abraham not only prayed and worshiped God with his family, but he taught them to do God's will, according to the knowledge he had of such a will, for being a prophet of the Lord. This is the duty of all those who are heads of family. They must instruct all who are under their responsibility to live in a righteous way, being honest and true in their relationships with all men.
It is their duty to teach, above all, to their children to pay their due worship of God, which is according to his Word. God was the instructor of Abraham so that he would instruct those of his house, and in the same way, we are instructed by the Holy Spirit for the same purpose.
Not only Abraham was chosen by God. Many have been chosen even today to spread knowledge about His will throughout the Earth. And more than knowledge, we have received from Him the power to practice His commandments, through grace, which is through faith in Jesus.

We have to help in this purpose a court installed by Him in our consciences, which makes us feel guilty when we think or do things that are contrary to their divine nature, and there is no way to feel approved but for the forgiveness and restoration that come from Jesus.
Conscience can not be slowed down, so that those who deliberately remain in the practice of a life that is not according to the pattern of divine righteousness violate their consciences and shoulder what is right, but can not, however , to live in peace with oneself, because they know well deep down that they are in disagreement with the way of life to which they should apply, and that it is always according to God's will, as we are guided by this arbiter that He placed in all people, know, our conscience.
We must bear in mind that the Holy Spirit who dwells in us does not accuse us of anything, who accuses us is the voice of our conscience, which is the voice of our heart. The Spirit of God is our comforter and helper who gives us the grace, wisdom, liberation, strength and power to go through some trials. He opens our eyes of understanding to see our mistakes and lead us to repentance of bad works.
"Romans 2: 14-16 - Therefore, when the Gentiles who have no law do by nature, in accordance with the law, that they have no law, they are law unto themselves." These show the norm of the law recorded in their heart, also witnessing to them the conscience and their thoughts, mutually accusing or defending themselves, the day when God, through Jesus Christ, will judge the secrets of men, according to my gospel."
