The gospel is what Christ has commission in our hands to carry out when He was leaving after finishes His mission on earth. We are saved to preach the gospel of salvation to the order.
preaching the gospel is speaking the heart of God to people and God is happy with a soul winner and there is joy in heaven for a saved soul
