God speaks to people today. First, God speaks to us through His Word (2 Timothy 3: 16-17). Isaiah 55:11 tells us, "So shall my word be that goes out of my mouth; it will not return to me empty, but it will do what I want, and it will be prosperous in that for which I sent it. "The Bible records the words of God for us in everything we need to know to be saved and live the Christian life. 2 Peter 1: 3-4 states, "As all things pertaining to life and godliness have been given to us by His divine power, through the knowledge of Him who called us to His glory and excellence, by means of which He has given us precious and very great promises, so that by them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having fled from the corruption that is in the world because of concupiscence. "
Second, God speaks through impressions, events and thoughts. God helps us to discern between good and evil through our consciences (1 Timothy 1: 5, 1 Peter 3:16) God is in the process of adapting our minds to His thoughts (Romans 12: 2). God allows events to occur in our lives to direct us, change us, and help us grow spiritually (James 1: 2-5, Hebrews 12: 5-11). 1 Peter 1: 6-7 reminds us, "In which you rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you must be afflicted in various trials, that your faith may be tested, much more precious than gold, which though perishable is tested with fire, may be found in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is manifested. "
Finally, yes, it seems that sometimes God speaks audibly to people. It is highly unlikely that this happens as often as some people declare. Again, even in the Bible, God's speaking audibly was an exception and not something ordinary. If someone claims that God has spoken to him / her, he always compares what they say with what the Bible says. God does not contradict Himself. 2 Timothy 3: 16-17 proclaims; "All Scripture is inspired by God, and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, so that the man of God may be perfect, fully prepared for every good work."
God doesn't speaks or show their looks to anyone dear. God is in you. You are a god. Believe me Self dependent is most important.
