On February 26, 2008, the World Vault of Seeds (Doomsday Vault), an ambitious project of almost 10 million dollars, was inaugurated in the Arctic of Norway. The Svalbard Bank facilities conserve 930.000 seeds of more than 4.000 plant species. Designed to last a thousand years, in practice its life time could be shorter, if the predictions about global warming are fulfilled.
The Svalbard Global Seed Vault is located near Longyearbyen in the Norwegian archipelago of Svalbard. It is the largest seed store in the world, created to safeguard the biodiversity of the crop species that serve as food.
It has a temperature of -18ºC, which will allow the survival of the seeds for hundreds of years.
Every precaution has been taken to prevent the Arctic's deglaciation from affecting it. For example, the deepest tunnel is 120 meters above sea level, so that it is not flooded, even if sea level increases in the coming decades due to global warming. Currently there are leaks for this same phenomenon.

What is worth must be saved. That is why the Bible says:
"Keep your heart above all things kept, for from Him flows life" Proverbs 4:23
These seeds are stored in this vault to ensure our future is so uncertain. Where can we take our hearts to be safe in the midst of this wicked world? The Bible says:
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding." Proverbs 3:5
According to this passage: The safest vault of your heart is in the hands of God.
William Harvey in the 17th Century made a discovery in the circulation of blood that revolutionized medical science. They discovered how the heart gave life to the body. However, Proverbs, which was written 2700 years before, this had already been revealed.
-The Bible describes the heart as a critical point of life that touches and impacts everything we are and do.
-It's the real Me. The center of your life, the true component of who you are.
If a seed is worth it, your heart is worth much more.
I want to encourage you to allow God to take care of him. Allow God your care. The refuge of your heart is in God.
Psalm 62: 8 "Wait on him at all times, O peoples, pour out your heart before him, God is our refuge."
