Our Attitude with Others

in #steemchurch6 years ago

Good morning Friends of Steemit and Steemchurch, on this occasion I want to share a little reflection on our attitude with the neighbor.

You shall not oppress your neighbor, nor rob him. You shall not withhold the wages of the hired servant in your house until morning. You shall not curse the deaf, and you shall not put a stumbling block before the blind, but you shall fear your God. I am Jehovah. Thou shalt not do injustice in judgment, neither favoring the poor nor pleasing the great; with justice you will judge your neighbor. You will not go gossiping among your people. You will not attempt against the life of your neighbor. I am Jehovah. You shall not abhor your brother in your heart; you will reason with your neighbor, so that you do not participate in his sin.Leviticus 19: 13-17

As we all know that the neighbor is all those people who are around us or in the most general case that the Bible says every human being is neighbor.

oppress

Once in our lives we have acted dishonestly or unfairly against someone, either with lies, abuse, cheating, among other things, that many times we think that we do not hurt or hurt anyone because we only think of well-being in our own, in the biblical passage God makes reference not to oppress the neighbor, that is, not to submit, humiliate, mistreat, burden, etc. As we see this small prayer covers many harmful things that one individual can do against another.

The Lord in his word is very clear to place as second commandment "love your neighbor to yourself" Matthew 22:39 clearly The Lord emphasized all our attitudes with others in two commandments, (the first is Amaras To God over everything)

Maybe we have wondered what meaning this commandment will have, well in my opinion, the man himself loves, does not like to suffer, to be screamed, mistreated and if someone comes to do some damage he defends himself, he likes to have the best for himself same, dress what you like, in a few words, always give yourself a love in everything.

Well, to these things that we do in ourselves, to be our way of acting with others, this pleases God. But sadly there are people within the congregations who do not feel true love for their fellow men because for the Lord we are all equal and their love embraces everyone equally.

Seeing how bad our attitude can be with others, then how can we improve our attitude towards others?

The answer is Love

with all humility and meekness, bearing with patience one another in love,Ephesians 4: 2

Sort:

Both enmity and ministerial jealousy are not the work of the Holy Spirit, but rather of the flesh, do not let these come into your life because without realizing it you will begin to wane in the spiritual realm and you will begin to move away from the will of God.
Remember that God commands us to love one another as we love ourselves.

Great.. The message you were trying to pass across. Our attitude towards our neighbor really matters.

That's why the Bible says in Corinthians: There are these 3 faith, hope and love and the greatest of all is love, from there everything is born, because for love God sent his son to earth to die for us, for love God allowed Abraham to save his cousin lot of sodom and gomorrah, etc ... so many things.

God is love and he teaches us to love as he, first tells us: that we love him above all things, and that we love our neighbors we give him help need or not always be willing.
Like the biblical parable that Jeus teaches us about the Good Samaritan:

A certain man asked Jesus: "Who, truly, is my neighbor?" In response, Jesus told him the parable of the Good Samaritan and taught him what it means to love one's neighbor (see Luke 10: 29-37). He told him that a Jew had been robbed, beaten and left half dead on the road. Then a priest passed, and then a Levite. Did they help him, as would be expected of them? No. When they saw it, they went ahead. It was a Samaritan who stopped to help him. Something surprising, because at that time the Jews and the Samaritans despised each other (John 4: 9).

4 To heal the wounded Jew's wounds, the Samaritan poured oil and wine into them. Then he took him to an inn and gave the owner two denarii-the equivalent of two days of work-for the care the Jew might need (Mat 20: 2). It is easy to realize that the Samaritan was the one who behaved like a good neighbor.

Thanks for sharing

Amen! God created man in His Own Image!
1Jn 3:14 We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
1Jn 3:17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
I love how we treat others, Jesus takes it like we are treating Him that way. Inasmuch as you did it unto the least of these my brethren, you did it unto me. And likewise when we don’t take care of others, “You did it not unto me”
What a privilege to minister to Christ by serving others!
Great pot!
Thank you!
