The nature of God is love

in #steemchurch5 years ago

Greetings for the whole Christian family!

The volumes were written about the characteristics of God, but when distilled for the most basic categories, it is love, life and holiness. And, in reality, his life and sanctity are based on the expression of his love: he loves to give, then he gives life; he wants the best, then holiness comes from him.

The goal of God's love is the relationship

Love requires relationship. Since love is a dynamic force, naturally it seeks expression. Love loves!

We can choose to accept and embrace God's love or we can choose to ignore or reject it. To live with God is to live in love.

Once we were reached and transformed by the love of God, we need to sow this love to the people around us. We declare that we truly love God when we relate to people loving them unconditionally.

Love is not something he chooses to do or give. It is the essence of who he is. He not only loves, he is love (1 John 4.6). This motivates each action, directs its activities and reflects its desires (1 Jn 4.10).

However, the love of God is not like the love expressed by many in our culture today: a love of convenience and ego. That is, "I will love you as you add value to my life and I like it When I stop, my love for you will cease For many, love is conditional Conditions may be different depending on the relationship, but conditions still exist be fulfilled in order to "win" our love.

The focus of God's love is redemption

The love of God is not an ideal summary, but a concrete reality that finds expression. Love that is not expressed through self-giving, practical action and sacrifice ... is not love. Love must satisfy the emotional, physical and spiritual needs of these entities. He is expensive, brings vulnerability and seeks the good of the loved one.

The unconditional nature of God's love is seen most clearly in the Gospel. The Gospel message is basically a story of divine rescue. As God considers the suffering of his rebellious people, he decided to save them from sin, and this determination was based on his love (Eph 1: 4-5). Listen to the words of the Apostle Paul in his letter to the Romans:

"When we were totally helpless, Christ came at the right time and died for sinners, even if we were righteous, we would not really expect someone to die for us, even if someone had the courage to die for a good person. His great love for us while we were still sinners. "(Rm 5.6-8)

Thank you for reading. With love:
