When you are preparing to preach in your church something that you have to decide is the subject that you are going to preach. Sometimes it is very easy, simply the matter comes in his head and the words come out of his mouth with unthinkable ease.
Other times it seems that you received a message directly from the Lord God and it is complete in your mind. What you need is to reach the time and start talking.
The best sermons take three points into consideration:
God - What does God mean?
The public - What is the need of your audience?
You - What should you share?
The answer to these three points will give you the message that you should preach.
What does God mean?
A good communicator always asks God what He wants to be preached. It is clear that before the preacher has to know God personally to know what God's will is for his life and for the life of his church. But asking God is something fundamental to have to speak to any audience.
What is the need of your audience?
You should always know who your audience will be. How old are they. What they work for What is the perspective of your world. What are your biggest needs. Social class. Sex, that is, if it is only male or only female, there are generally both genders.
Each audience has different needs, has a different perspective of the world. And knowing this will make all the difference when it comes to preparing a message for them.
It is important to know, if possible, what has been spoken in the last messages. So he does not risk repeating or even annoying the public with a message that is already in his heart.
What you should share.
Finally, you should talk about what you know. The theme you choose must dominate it. You should not talk about what you do not know. God has not called you to talk about prophecies if you do not know them well.
You must know yourself very well and know your limitations and qualities. If you talk about an issue that you do not master, it will not be authentic and your message will not have the necessary impact to touch lives. There is always a good message among the issues that you have dominated in recent times.
Read about it and know as much as you can, first for yourself and then to have to talk to your friends or your audience.

Talk to God and know what He wants you to predict.
Discover the real need of your audience.
