There is a privelege which guarantees full attention in the courts of heaven. It is an individual and weapon of believers.It is an avenue for subduing kingdoms, stopping the mouth of the lions and receiving fulfilment of Gods promises for all situations in life. It is indespensable for the believer's journey from the earth to heaven and its scriptural use affords constant victory in the battle life. This is none other than the privilege of PRAYER.........!!!!!
MATTEW 7:7.."ASK AND IT SHALL BE GIVEN UNTO YOU,SEEK AND YOU WILL FIND,KNOCK IT WILL BE OPENED UNTO YOU".........
Prayer is the immeasurable privilege granted to mortal men to commune with the immortal GOD!!
Prayer is talking to God,pouring out our hearts'desire to Him in recognition of His power and might ro intervene favourably in our SITUATION!!!!,,........
However,not many christians seem to fully understand and appreciate the many possibilitiesof this immeasurable privilege. Instead of turning their BURDENS and HEARTACHES to over to Lord inprayer as the scripture has instructed ( james5:13 ; 1 peter5:17)
A christian woman once shared an instructive testimony of what happened to a businesman. She said," I was standing at a bank counter,waiting for a clerk to come. At a time , I picked up a pen and began to write on my blotter filled from top to bottom with a column of the words:PRAY THROUGH. I kept talking to a friend and writing until I had the big blotter filled with from top to the bottom with a column of words. When the clerk arrived, i transacted my business and went away!
"The next day,the friend I was talking with in the bank cme to seeme andsaidshe had astroking story to tell me. A buiness man came soon after i hve gon. He had grown discouraged with business troubles. H started to transact business with the same clerk over that blotter when his eyes caught the long column of " PRAY THROUGH. He asked who wrote the words and exclaimed,"This is the very message i needed to hear. I will pray through . I have tried to WORRY THROUGH in my own strengh,and has only halfheartedly mentiond my troubles s to God;mow i am going to pray the situation through until my burden is lifted!!!!."
How many christians still try to worry through their PREDICAMENT!
No wonder tne ancient song writer said" oh what peace we often forfeit!Oh what needless pain we bearing!,all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer!"
