Questions for @Steemchurch and @Steemcourt: Where Can I Find the Answers?

in #steemchurch7 years ago

I'm posting this here because I have questions about @Steemchurch or @Steemcourt that I can't find information easily for.

Whenever I've left comments on posts where the authors have used these tags, my questions have gone unanswered. Some of these questions I've left in the comments and others I've just been waiting to ask, but no one has gotten back to me.

I just genuinely would like my questions to be answered...(pretty please if anyone is listening):

  • Where can I get more information about what @Steemchurch stands for? I can read the blurb here and there, but where is your "Statement of Beliefs"? I want to read more about that to see if that community aligns with my own. I went to the website: https://www.steemchurch.net/ but could not find the actual "Statement of Beliefs."

  • Can anyone write a similar type of post and use the #steemchurch tag in it or do they have to be a parishioner of @steemchurch only?

  • How is Steemchurch organized? Can anyone organize a branch?

  • What set of by-laws you do use for governance? Are you considered a 501 3 c entity in the United States?

  • If I give to the church is it tax deductible? Some ministries make this differentiation and some do not. It's OK if it's NOT tax deductible, I just want to know.

  • Is @steemcourt only for Steemchurch parishioners?

  • Can you support Steemchurch without being a parishioner?

  • Is registration on the steemchurch.net website required to be considered a parishioner?

  • In the introduction post for #steemcourt, it said that parishioners can log agreements using that task. Who will regulate and judge whether or not the terms of those contracts are clear enough to be understood by all?

As I said, I really would just like these questions answered. Please don't direct me to a discord channel and expect me to find the answers by surfing through a channel to find the answers. I barely have time to be on Steemit and I find discord to be horribly distracting and overwhelming for some reason. I literally cannot keep up with the threads, sub-threads and conversations in each. It's almost as bad as having to go to Costco for a grocery run on a Sunday afternoon.

I strongly believe that both of your communities and efforts would benefit by having the answers to these questions and others posted somewhere for someone to easily find.

Thanks for all your help.

We mice believe that these are very good legal questions which require answers Miklkent. And we mice feel that the best person to answer these questions is you.

We eagerly await your research findings and views.

You believe I'm the best one to answer these questions? I don't have the answers to these questions, which is why I'm asking them. I understand being part of something because it feels good, but ultimately, with things on the blockchain, you still want to vet out who and what you support and then further delineate what each type of support means.

To do that, I need the above questions answered.

Is @steemcourt only for Steemchurch parishioners?

The court don't see why it needs to be. If non-parishioners wish to submit contracts with us at time of execution the court see no trouble with this. So long as all parties to the contract agree to give us authority to adjudicate if needed. We suppose we could also adjudicate if the contract was never lodged with us so long as all parties agree to be bound by our findings.

In the introduction post for #steemcourt, it said that parishioners can log agreements using that task. Who will regulate and judge whether or not the terms of those contracts are clear enough to be understood by all?

Definitely, the Court will be in charge of that.

The @Steemcourt will probably also want to publish somewhere that their contracts would need to include verbiage indicating as such so there would be no controversy during the time of decision, sorting, etc.

I also think it would then be good to have verbiage disclaimed and posted somewhere for all to see that if you are agreeing to be bound by the decision of #steemcourt during mediation processes. I say that both as a statement and a question.

Thank you for offering further clarity and getting back to me so quickly.

Thank you.

The concept of an entirely online religion literally blows me away.

The permutations and possiblities are amazingly ineffable.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.

I'm just waiting for my questions to be answered. :)

The idea of a completely online religion actually overwhelms me.

The changes and possiblities are incredibly indescribable.

A debt of gratitude is in order for drawing this out into the open.

Why did you literally repeat the comment above from @valued-customer except changing the adjectives? If you're going to copy something, do it so that nobody else can recognize what you did.

What i can say here is that. Steemchurch is established to bring people together in love and in expression of the love of Christ while spreading the goodnews.
There are many ways through which you can get to know more about #steemchurch. One of these is https://www.steemchurch.net. There is also an application in the playstore through which one can get more information about this noble church

Thanks. I get that. I've been to the website, but I'm not readily find the answers to the above questions on that website. I did go it when I finally did learn it existed but still could not find the answers. I doubt the app will have more information that is not also on the website, therefore the answers to those questions, won't be in the app.

It's not developer best practices.

Hello @miklkent, the mobile application that we are developing is just in the construction phase, each one of the members of steemchurch and its extensions entered without looking for questions, but as members of Christ we offer solutions through the messages of God, perhaps not everything is organized as you would like, but on the way God is arranging things as they should be, you just have to choose what you want to be your steemchurch. Do you want to be a member of the church that just preaches or you want to be part of the work team endeavoring to be day to give your talent to steemchurch ?, it does not matter if you still do not have all the answers, on the way you will be answered, the important thing of this and of the things of life is that you give the best of you wherever you go and always ask for guidance to God through his Word, and here in steemchurch there is much word. God bless you, I invite you to the discord you can search me like @michellechristie

I'm not requiring the steemchurch to be as "organized as I would like." I just wanted to know, so I wasn't left to assume. That's all. Thank you for confirming what I need to know.

It's fine that it's not organized a certain way. This tells me:

  • I do NOT have to become a parishioner by enrolling on steemchurch.net

  • I CAN contribute using the @steemchurch or #steemchurch tag if I want to contribute.

  • Everyone has a different doctrine of Christ as they understand it and that's OK because those doctrinal beliefs are NOT specifically stated anywhere on your website. This means I'm left to decide if I personally agree or disagree with any given post's statement.

  • You are NOT 501 3 c statused in the United States because this church was organized on the blockchain. This means their contractual agreements are OUTSIDE of the jurisdiction of traditional governmental rules (which is exciting and as IT should be).

  • Taxes are not an issue because of this (which I also believe that it should be).

Is my understanding correct on these above items?

@michellechristie

And again, I find discord very overwhelming to navigate.
