Jesus Christ: It is Immutable!

"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever" (Hebrews 13. 8).

There is nothing more sublime and glorious than the person of Jesus Christ. Thousands of comments arise about him, addressing issues, sometimes controversial and others in an unusual way, try to evict him so that his wonderful name is outraged and defamed, however, despite all this puerile effort, his name is exalted above all the names.

The center of the Bible is Christ. The beauty and strength of Christianity consists in its divine performance. If we take the Christ out of the Bible, she will be a book like any other. If we remove the Christ from Christianity, he will be a simple religion. Jesus Christ, in his brilliance and glory, in his immeasurable power, in his divine love is superior to all the great saints of history, to angels, archangels and cherubs. That is superior to galaxies, above the great wonders of the world. More beautiful than any spectacle of nature exhibited in its greatest pomp. For me, it is the great oasis of my desert. Like a Bedouin, many times tired of the journey in the desert, He supreme our thirst, in those rich springs, coming to meet us to irrigate our hopes. Therefore, besides supplying us, it is the purest oxygen of the human soul, Lord and King.

After the resurrection, Christ appears and identifies his disciples. On the occasion, Tomás was not present, whom he regretted, after being informed. After eight days, He appears again to his disciples and this time there was also Thomas. Saluting, he said: Peace be with you! He searched for Thomas and said, "Put your finger here and see my hands, place your hand on my side and do not be unbelieving, but believing." Tomé did what he asked for, verified the truthfulness and concluded that it really was Jesus and, astonished, exclaimed : "Lord and my God! Despite his stubborn disbelief he recognizes Christ and confesses him as Savior and Lord.

The happiness of modern man and his subsequent spiritual realization does not consist in the admiration he may have of Christianity or of God, but in the recognition of the lordship of Christ over his life. The great evil of man is wanting to be master of everything and everyone and for that reason, is still a servant. Christ can only orient our lives, from the moment when, following the example of Thomas, we have a humble and reflective attitude and say: My Lord, my God!

Christ is still the same. He is the manifestation of God to humanity. It is the great revelation of goodness the salvation of God. His ministry was accompanied by signs and great wonders. Before his presence, everyone will one day bend.

In the days of his earthly ministry: The blind of the mountains, the sick were cured, the paralyzed under his word, approached, the possessed were released and the dead risen.

In his main mission he said: "So that you may know that the son of man has the power to forgive sins, he said to a paralytic: Stand up, take your bed and go to your house." Immediately the paralytic recovered physically, thus revealing the power of Christ in recovering spiritually the lost man, forgiving his sins.

Skeptical writers, theologians without God, are trying to tarnish the divinity of Christ with their futile arguments, but nothing has been achieved, because Jesus Christ is God and as such is above secular criticism. He is the immutable Lord.

One of the proofs of his divinity is that he remains the same. He still heals, saves and transforms the vilest creature. Dozens of young people, today, after trying to perform personnel in other ways; disappointed, they resolve to seek Christ and find the solution to their spiritual problems.

He is the same! He is God! Napoleon Bonaparte, on him, said:
"I think we understand a little about human nature and we say that all the heroes of antiquity were men, as I am also, but not like Jesus Christ, he was more than man."

God only becomes real in our lives when we know Christ. He is the revelation of God to man. Without this mediator, all communion with God disappears. He is the one who wants to give us eternal life, here and now! How to receive or have eternal life? It is written in the Gospel of (John 17: 3): "And eternal life is this, which can be known from you only, as the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent." He is alive! He rose from the dead and want to enter his life to be able to grant him salvation, fulfillment, liberation.

One of the great problems that society is facing today is not material poverty, but spiritual poverty. With this affirmation, we do not intend to deny the existence of poverty in the world, but we note that spiritual poverty causes the great void in the soul, which in turn produces the search for something that comes to fill the gap left. We regret the fact that many seek in the wrong sources, such as narcotics, causing imbalances that feed all sorts of crimes and religions concerned, divorced from God, that offer a pseudo spirituality without divine content.

Adhering to the teachings of Christ, receiving him as Savior and Lord of our lives, constitutes one of the great steps towards peace and happiness. With Christ, our worldview will be deeply maximized. Our self-criticism, perception of the things that surround us, our relationship with others and with the laws that society establishes will have much more meaning. Everyone, in Christ, will form a more just and cohesive society.

Having Christ as Lord and primary counselor, our lives will make more sense. We will find in his teachings a pattern of orientation that can govern our destiny. It is possible to see more clearly the reason for the existence of life, of the family, of society. Certainly we will become realized people, having their teachings, as an instrument of good, and thus we will fulfill their dreams: "you are the light of the world".

It is impossible to be light without being connected to a source of energy. The world lies in darkness. Models, idols famous by modern means, are unable to become examples or provide the necessary energy for us to transform into light. Christ is a source of light: "Life was in him, and life was the light of men, light shines in darkness, and darkness will not prevail against it (John 1: 4-5).

Therefore, if the world lies in darkness and Christ is the light of the world, why tatear in the darkness, wandering aimlessly, without direction? Following Christ is the most accurate answer, for those who want to change from darkness to light. He said: "I am the light of the world, he who follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

Does not the insecurity of the modern world consist in living far from the light? It is not light, which represents lucidity, good census, respect for others, life! What is missing from our society? - Light Come to light! Be a light! If your city or community, to count on you, as one more light, will surely be much more "enlightened".
