Salvation is the process through which God exercises his sovereign grace by forgiving the sin of man, based on the sacrifice of Christ on the cross, who died as our substitute or in our place. This occurs when man, trained by the Holy Spirit, responds to God's offer of salvation. It is that Holy Spirit that produces the
regeneration of the sinful nature causing man to pass from death to life and from darkness to light.
John 1: 12-13 "But to all who received him, he gave them the right to become children of God, that is, to those who believe in his name, who were not born of blood, nor of the will of God. the flesh, or the will of man, but of God. "
This verse clearly states that we are not all children of God; that we became his children only after having believed in Christ as Lord and Savior.
God made our election in a sovereign way, God made that choice before the foundation of the world, He chose us according to his will and not ours and chose us for the praise of his glory.
Salvation becomes EFFECTIVE the moment we receive Christ as Lord and Savior.
Nothing can separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus and no one can snatch us from his hands. The true believer can get out of the way but DO NOT LOSE. God returns to his home sooner or later, sometimes through difficult experiences. He is the Good Shepherd.
WE LIVE FOR CHRIST AND DIE FOR THE WORLD
Only if we confess Jesus as our Lord and Savior is that we become his children, says the Bible.
