Everything in life is for a while, the money in the bank, the houses we own, the land we fight over, the flashy cars in our garages, the degrees we have bagged from various universities across the globe, the expensive jewelries in out jewelries boxes, the designers shoes and perfumes we wear, the position we occupy in various offices, the success we have recorded and everything we can think of in this life are all vanity upon vanity.
We must all remember that whatever we have achieved in life is by the undeserved grace of God, and it's all for a while, because the heaven and earth including man will pass away, but His Word will never pass away.
Learn to humble yourself before God and man. No matter your position or status in life, for God resists the proud buy gives grace to the humble. James 4:6
But He giveth more grace. Wherefore He saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.
Before the plane took off on that faithful Sunday afternoon from Abuja to Lagos in Nigeria, all the occupants of the ill-fated woke up that Sunday morning just like you and i, they had dreams, hope, aspirations like you and I. They may have put calls through to one, two or kore people that they were on their way, not knowing it was the last phone call and last time to fly, no wonder the Bible says in Proverbs 27:1
Boast not thyself of tomorrow; for thou knowest not what dat may bring forth. Psalm 146:4.
His breath forth forth, he returneth to His earth; in that very day his thought perish.
That was how the thought of all the victim perishes with them all including the people who were peacefully resting in their homes upon which the plane crashed into.
Dear friend, have you ever thought of your own day of death, place, time and manner of it would coke without notice, for the victims of the crash never thought death could come on that day, time, place and manner it came, because death is the last thought on a man's mind.
Nevertheless, have you ever wondered and appreciated God for sparing your lives through His undeserved grace that is still working on you and I. If God were to look at our sins and inequality as written in psalms 130:3.
If thou Lord should mark inequalities, O Lord, who shall stand?
Lamentations 3:32
But though he causes grief, yet will he have compassion according to the multitudes of His mercies.
The next day after the crash, a young man stood beside the newspaper stand, weeping and he said
This man that died (referring to the victims photograph in one of the dailies) is the one that bought me the dress I'm wearing, and he got me the job I am doing today to feed my family and myself.
Remember that our glory on earth is the number of lives we have touched and not the number of money we have not the treasures we have.
Are you aware that there is an everlasting divine life insurance policy made available by God through His son Jesus Christ that you can still live again even if death takes you unaware? According to John 11:25 Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall be live.
The first thing you need to do so that you will be a partner or get enlisted into this free insurance policy in Christ is to confess your sins before Him and finally belive and accept Him as your Lord and Saviour.
MAKE THIS CONFESSION.
LORD JESUS, I BELIEVE YOU ARE THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SIN OF GOD WHO DIED ON THE CROSS OF CALVARY TO SAVE ME, FORGIVE ME OF MY SINS, GIVE ME THE GRACE TO LIVE ABOVE SINS, MAKE ME YOUR CHILD, AND HELP ME TO LIVE A NEW LIVE IN YOU....
Our eternal treasures are lives we have touched and not measured by monetary value.
