Arise Go
‘’Arise; go to Nineveh, that great city and cry against it; for the wickedness is come up before me’’. This was God’s charge to Prophet Jonah. From the Old Testament dispensation till now, God has been charging His saints to arise, go and preach the gospel to all people and all nations.
The Lord Jesus Christ before His ascension, re-echoed the charge to his disciples and by the extensions of Christians, ‘’Go ye into the world and preach the gospel to every creature’’. This explains why the early Christians went preaching the good tidings everywhere. God’s charge is arise, go!
Mind you, this is neither a charge to wait for people to come to you before you witness to them nor a command to try and get them into the church to hear the gospel preached. It is a charge to arise from your comfort zone as a Christian, go to where sinners are and preach the gospel of repentance to them.
However, the task is very urgent and requires absolute alacrity. Why the urgency to preach the gospel? Millions of souls are plunging into hell everyday as a result of untimely and tragic death. There are still many sinners who need to hear the gospel of Christ.
The urgency to preach the gospel is greater today than any other time in history because end-time is already here. Let me paraphrase Apostle Paul’s words, I beseech you by the mercies of god that you should leave the mundane things of the world and preach the gospel of Christ.
Employ every possible means to call sinners to repentance; use the modern day technology to propagate the good news to the world. Be committed and sacrifice all that is necessary for the salvation of others. Remember, there is no sacrifice too great, no trouble too big, no humiliation too deep, no suffering too severe and no price too much in business of soul winning.
Do you have the passion to win souls. God bless you.

Thanks for taking your time to go through this.
