Now taking about the Holy Spirit let look into the case of Daniel in his days
Who is Daniel?
Daniel was a young lad, who knew God and also had the word of God when he was at his very young age. Daniel was among the 10,000 captive taken from Judah to Babylon then, by King Nebuchadnezzar aside his parent and siblings. He was left alone with his God. And whereas if to check into the meaning of Daniel itself, it means"God is my judge". He had no place to worship Jehovah in Babylon but guess what he made his own heart the temple of God. Though his name was changed but his God never changed, his parent didn't fail in telling him about who God is. While Daniel still as captive in Babylon he never forget his God and he was able to keep himself to God and also to some like mind friend(be mindful of the friend you keep).
The king find them that they were sincere and faithful because of the power of God in them, they were well favoured, skillful, culling in knowledge and understanding.

The ability in them made them to stand in the King's palace to teach the learning and language of the Chaldeans(Dan. 1:4), so because of that the king appoint them off the daily provision of the King's meat and the wine he drank for three years that at the end they might stand before the king..
Though the king portion was not to please God but man and all this Daniel refuses because he has proper in his heart that he would not defile himself with the things of the world according to Dan. 1:8. And look because our God never fails, it worked for Daniel and his friends they were better off than those who eat the kings portion. Never be deceived by what you see and don't follow multitude in doing evil. God has power to do all things.
