Makers of the good

It is so easy to imitate the bad, but so difficult to imitate the good, and is that by nature we are inclined to evil, but by desire of our spirit we must try to imitate the good. For some reason we are very quick to acquire bad habits, but very slow to inculcate good habits.

The question is: What is it that I am imitating? In what way am I being influenced by imitating the good? Could it really be that within my heart there is a desire to imitate the good?

Paul wrote to the Corinthians: "Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ." 1 Corinthians 11: 1 (Reina-Valera 1960).

I have always asked myself: Would we be able to tell other people: "Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ"?

And the truth is that many times our life is not imitating Christ, many times our life is not the reflection that Christ lives in us, many times we are not living as children of God, because our way of being, of behaving and of acting is very different from what God wants from us.

I believe that every day we learn something good and if we are humble and sincere we can conclude that every day we need to learn more from the Lord, we need to imitate him more, we need to speak as children of God, behave like children of God, react as children of God.

How are we reacting to a world indifferent to God? What is our way of living in that world? What words come out of my mouth? What thoughts are in my mind? What is the way in which What do I react to the world?

We must remember every day that our task is to imitate Christ, that our way of behaving and living must be just and godly. May our purpose every day be to be more like our Lord and Savior.

Let's imitate what is good, let us discard what is bad, imitate what is just, let us discard what is unjust, imitate the humble, let us leave pride, imitate the spiritual and put aside the carnal.

Today is a good day to reflect on my way of acting and lead me through life, today is a day where we must bring to our memory a question and be honest and humble to answer it. The question is: Who am I imitating? Christ Jesus? If not, then let us reflect very well on our walk.

Let's be imitators of the Lord!
"And we are instructed to turn away from worldly life and sinful pleasures. In this evil world, we must live with wisdom, justice and devotion to God "

We must be doers of the word of God and not only hearers of it. V. 22 "But be doers of the word, and not only hearers." That is our duty, very simple. God has given us his word to instruct us, first of all, on what we must believe to be saved. But he has also given us his word to teach us how to live the Christian life after being saved.
Brothers, the Christian life is a life to be lived. And everything that is taught and everything we try to learn is with a view to putting it into practice.

Amazing post, you said it all in this part 'Let's imitate what is good, let us discard what is bad, imitate what is just, let us discard what is unjust, imitate the humble, let us leave pride, imitate the spiritual and put aside the carnal.'
