There are stories of great men of the old who were mighty and powerful, men who was created in a special way, they have both spiritual and physical endowment that distinguished them from the people of their generation and years, but it is a very pathetic story on how such great investments and grace from the almighty creator on them was wasted, it is indeed a tragic story, as we go through the lives of this people, it is never to criticize or blame them rather it is an example for us to live alright, to take correction and to learn from their own lives so that we will not tread the path they trod, we will be studying this men in the light of the holy Bible.

  • SAMSON ( judges chap.13, 14,15 and 16)
Oh! Samson the great, a name that puts the whole philistines into fear, the man who bears the gate of entire city on his shoulder and ran to the top of the mountain, Samson who defeated thousands of his enemies soldiers with just the jaw bone of an Ash, Samson the son of Manoah of Zorah a Danite images (7).jpega man of great power and might an angel of God foretold his birth to his barren mother and father, he was a special gift from God, before his birth the Lord has chosen him to be a Nazarite for him from the womb, he was made to be the deliverer of the people of God from the oppression of their enemies, the Lord gave some instructions over his life before his birth which are
He shall not drink hard wine
He shall not touch unclean things
Neither shall any razor enters his hire for he is a holy child from God
This are the consencreasion he must keep , but Samson began to make careless use of God's deposit into his live, he disregarded the instructions hanging over his life and destiny, his parents warming and rebuke was no longer important to him, he began to experiment the grace of God in his live, he began to dine and wine with the enemies of God and the enemies of his own people, Samson began to break his consencreasion bit by bit, one after the other. He began to lust after his own desires, Samson's eyes began to see nothing except women, from a special a strange woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines to a harlot he slept with in Gaza, he finally decided to fall in love and settle down with the final murder of his destiny Delilah in the valley of Sorek, from the point of Samson's disobedience to his God and parents every movement he was making was downwardimages (5).jpeg movement to death and destruction, on this his journey down to Philistine he killed a lion and also touch his unclean carcass, he has already broken two of his consencreasion and he was ignorantly holding on just a lifeline just one secrete of his strength. Let me pause here and ask us is there any similarlity between your own life and that of Samson the great, i want to tell you that there are so many investments God has made in your life even before your were born into this world, listen dear, you are carrying a glorious destiny and there so many Delilahs out there looking for that enviable destiny to destroy it, you are carrying the the grace of God now but sin and worldliness is dangerously contending with them to destroy it, lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and pride of life, do you know the greatest tragedy of Samson?, He lost his strength on the laps of Delilah, his rock was shaved off, the razor of destruction entered his hire because he careless led his enemy into the most secrete place of his might, Judges 16:19 And she made him sleep upon her knees; and she called for a man, and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head; and she began to afflict him, and his strength went from him. 16:20 And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him. 16:21 But the Philistines took him, and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza, and bound him with fetters of brass; and he did grind in the prison house. That eyes Samson vowed to be seeing only woman with was the first thing he lost to his enemies, he became a prisoner, blinded and a hard labourer for that strength he fail to use for God he is now using to grind grain for the Philistines.
Have gone so far like Samson? Have you broken all your own consencreasion? Are even now a prisoner? Listen the Lord is still here for you he loves willing to accept you and deliver you from your bondage just pray for another chance now, just surrender to Jesus and his blood will Purge and purifies you, he will santify you again.
    Ok
  • ESAU Genesis 25:29 And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he was faint: 25:30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red pottage; for I am faint: therefore was his name called Edom. 25:31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright. 25:32 And Esau said, Behold, I am at the point to die: and what profit shall this birthright do to me? 25:33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he sold his birthright unto Jacob. 25:34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.images (12).jpeg
This is another great man that has lost to his untamed appetite food, Esau the first son of daddy Isaac and mummy Rebeeka, he was careless to the point of losing his biological right over his father's final blessings and inheritance, so famished by hunger he disdained his birthright for plate of postage, some of us are like him we are playing with our eternal inheritance we are so much careless that w are selling them out to the cheap price of sins, fornication, idolatry, greed and immoral living, to him it was nothing at the point of selling but the bible said that in Hebrews 12:16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. 12:17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. repent now because all this is for our example.
