RE: Keeping Steemit Clean: One Year Later

in #steemcleaners7 years ago

Redarding the discussion between @transisto and @anyx, concerning the daily stemmcleaner reports on the trending page, the solution might be weekly steemcleaner reports. They are favorable for both sides. They give steemcleaners some visibility without overloading the trending page.

Thank you for the great work and keep it up!

We used to do weekly logs last year when there weren't many case in a week and we had people funding steemcleaners directly by donations. Back then 100-200 cases a week were the norm. Now we do hundreds a day. Weekly logs would need to be split up into like 8-10 pieces and/or it would severely cut our funding.

Thanks for reaching out to me. Ok, let’s see if I can bring a little more precision in my suggestion :-)

  1. Do the daily reports, where every case is listed.
  2. Do a weekly report on the statistics with a link to the daily reports, plus e.g. 10 of the worst cases or current trends in plagiarism/spam/scam.

Now, the daily reports stay of the trending page, but weekly reports are allowed to enter the trending section, resulting in visibility without an overload.

We already do that. Well minus the top 10 worse cases/current trends stuff. Not sure how to even do that. Trends change almost daily. One day there is a ton of spam, next bunch of photo plg, next comment spam. Never know what it will be.

Perfect! Maybe it's possible to convince @transisto of that idea. If not, he might be open to a monthly report.
