PUT OFF THE ACT......

There are something that is very prevalent in our churches at every daily activities today and it is the way people came to church to display and act.
Many go to church on Sunday dressed up in costumes and with a script in their hands, ready to play the role of the Holy fellow, they had forsaken throughout the week that just past.

But the church is not a stage to come and display your acting abilities, nor is it a place to come and act out of a life you don't live on a normal day, so as to impress others, or keep their mouths shut. No God does not intend for you to live like this......

God cannot be mocked, The God you are trying to impress sees you in the secret place, he knows your real self, so why hide in his presence, when he sees everything.

There are some people you see in church who are gentle in church, looks calm, easy going but when you meet them outside, they are very troublesome people. This is because they put up and act in the church, which is not the real them.

There are people who dress like Mummy G. O in the church, buy when you see them outside, you will hardly recognise them, this is because on Sunday, they come to act a perfectly rehearsal script, and so the real person stays hidden.

People must be able to vouch for your integrity as being the person you portray yourself to be to the world, you must not be able to say you are one thing and you really are not that. People must be able to say this is who you are, and they would be right. They must be able to vouch for your integrity.

This act of pretense can destroy a relationship, because unless a brothers eye, or sister's eye are open to see that the person they are looking at is not really who they claim to be, then it would lead to deception, and by the time their eyes are opened, and they begin to see who the real person is, it is too late to run.

Pretending to be what you are not to others, so they can accept you, or for whatever reason is just not worth it, and it will lead to shame, so be yourself and let people accept you for that, while you are still in the process of changing to become all that God wants you to be.

Shun pretense, shun the need to please everybody, be yourself, if people like you for it, it is great and if they don't, it's their cup of coffee.
